Meet Robyn.

My name is Robyn Lamoreaux and I love my job! I am originally from Utah County and migrated down to Southern Utah in 2004 with my then, small family. I celebrate 25 years of marriage to the funniest, most supportive husband, Bob.  We have 5 great children, Tucker (23), Abe (22), Gwyn (18), Gil (16), and Sully (12).   My two oldest boys are in college with my daughter soon to follow. My two youngest are in schools in the Snow Canyon boundaries.

I love to read, visit the beach, hike in our beautiful red mountains, be involved in our church and it's programs , and most of all support my kids in all of their activities. I love being a wife and mother, and I absolutely love being an ISR Swimming Instructor.  2023 is my 10th year teaching as a certified ISR Instructor and as I watch these darling children learn to be aquatically safe, it never ceases to amaze me.  It brings me so much fulfillment watching each and every one of my students learn to roll to their back independently.  I know then, that they are an aquatic problem solver and when all barriers fail them that they will not fail themselves. It is an absolute honor to be an Instructor for the most outstanding Self-Rescue Swim program in the world.

Her why:

When we had our last baby we had been through many swim programs with our other 4 children. We were always in search of someone  that could teach our children at a very young age, but could never find anyone that could start them until they turned 3 years old. Our youngest son had absolutely no fear of the water.  While looking for a program we stumbled upon a video on Facebook of a little boy in blue pajamas that falls into a pool while alone, and immediately flips to his back and floats until someone finds him in the pool.  We were determined to find that program. It was ISR. We then found that the closest Instructor was 2.5 hours away from our home in a different State.

I decided to figure out what it would take for me to become a certified Instructor. I found a Master Instructor in Arizona with an opening that fit my summer schedule. While we were figuring out how to uproot my family and move to Arizona for my training,  some close friends of ours lost their 2 year old niece in a devastating drowning accident.  After that, there was nothing that could stop me from getting certified. It has been one of the best and most rewarding decisions we ever made as a family or personally.
